PG binder index — every U.S. state DOT, one reference

Performance Grade (PG) asphalt binders are specified by the AASHTO M320 standard. Each grade encodes a high-temperature (rutting) and low-temperature (thermal cracking) design limit — e.g. PG 64-22 targets a 7-day average pavement design temperature of 64 °C at the high end and −22 °C at the low end. State Departments of Transportation set the default grade that fits the local climate and the elevated (clash) grade for high-traffic, urban, or standing-water routes.

This index lists every U.S. state and the District of Columbia, grouped by U.S. Census region — West, Mountain, Midwest, South, Northeast — and surfaces the national aggregate so estimators, contractors, and procurement engineers can compare DOT binders at a glance.
